for Fanfareband (2003)                                                                                                                                              The work was commissioned by ‘Fanfare St.Caecilia Millingen aan de Rijn’. The title and the music refers to the old city of Babylon, where once king Nebukadnezar ruled. Three movements;

1. The Father and the Son/ Nebukadnezar, the great Emperor, returns through the great Gate of Ishtar.
2. The hanging Gardens of Babylon
3. The Tower of Babel.
