In the year 1995 Maurice Hamers became Conductor and Director of the “Marineband of the Royal Dutch Navy” in Rotterdam. In this new function he composed his work ‘Apparition’ for Fanfareband. It was a commission from fanfare “St. Joseph” Meers and their Conductor Fried Dobbelstein.
